Appalachia & Wesley
A little about the 2022 Appalachia & Wesley mission…
This summer we had the opportunity to serve in the greater Appalachian region of the United States — primarily in Eastern KY and NC. This area, while rich in history, is marked by statistically high levels of poverty and environmental exploitation. Through ministering to and with the people of Appalachia, our hope was to foster a spirit of love and care for those who have been neglected by people in positions of power. We also spent time working on the Wesley grounds, continuing to take care of the place we call home during the school year.
Without a doubt, this year’s mission was incredible. We saw the hand of God intervene on our behalf, and He continuously revealed Himself to us in miraculous ways. Our team was blessed to meet so many faithful people, and we were able to do a variety of good works, such as repairing a roof suffering from tornado damage for an elderly couple, building a wheelchair ramp for a woman in need, knocking on doors to invite folks to local church events, spending time with children, and much more. Thank you all, once again, for all the prayers that you sent up for our team. Stay tuned for information on our 2023 summer mission!
